A selection of stories from our employees, that give an insight into how they joined our company, have progressed and grown during their time with us, and the contributions they have made to Danny Sullivan Group and our clients.

I began working for Danny Sullivan Group in April 2016 as a Traffic Marshall. I have since completed an NVQ in General Construction and have received a promotion. I am currently a Traffic Marshall Ganger and Site Supervisor.

Danny Sullivan Group are a very reliable and friendly company. I find the staff to be honest; they look after me and ensure that I get excellent training opportunities. Danny Sullivan Group is a great company to work for!

Errol Lodge

My career with Danny Sullivan Group began in September 2014, when I was placed on site on a SEESA JV project in Willesden Substation. I worked there for a couple of years and I learnt so much about various site activities and really got an insight into Health and Safety and how it applies to everyday working on site. I have progressed from my role as an assistant into a Health and Safety Advisor to Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, and recently I was made our Head of Training, Skills and People Development.

I couldn’t have asked for a better employer than DSG. From the beginning of my journey, Danny, Timothy and the entire team have supported, trained and developed me, enabling me to have such a fantastic career. The family values that are embedded in the company make it such a great place to work, and we have a fantastic team that I am proud to call my colleagues and friends.

Ruairi Coffey

I first met staff from Danny Sullivan Group at a local Jobs Fair. I started my career with Danny Sullivan Group as a Cleaner on the Tideway Central project in December 2016. Within twelve months of being on-site I was promoted to a Supervisor role. My current position as Cleaner Supervisor/Handy Man was made possible through hard work, dedication, and the support of Danny Sullivan Group. I was given the opportunity to do a six-week college course which equipped me with basic on-site qualifications. I then went onto complete an NVQ in General Construction and am currently undertaking SSSTS Supervisors training.

Danny Sullivan Group is a very professional company with strong family values. I am always kept informed with any updates and changes, especially during the COVID-19. The team made sure to ask how I was doing during lock-down, which was a lovely personal touch. All management are very approachable, and I feel proud to work for the organisation!

Joe O’Dwyer

I work as a Senior Ganger for DSG, and have worked with DSG for over 18 years.

The construction industry is a good field to learn new skills, any time a project finishes, I am put onto a new project without having to wait, I completed an NVQ L3 Triple SSSTS with DSG, and was then promoted, gaining more responsibility.

Deepak Sehdev, Senior Ganger

I’ve been working for DSG for five years now. I love working in the construction industry! There is a very friendly environment and we have great communication on site.

DSG supports us with our mental health. Ruairi and Noel sort out any issues that arise and send me toolbox talks. I brief everyone on site about mental wellbeing and provide helplines to speak about mental health”.

MaNinderpal Singh, Section Foreman

I have worked with Danny Sullivan Group continuously since 2017 and have done my NVQ LVL 2 and 3 through Danny Sullivan Group.

Every week we receive Toolbox talks on various subjects, safety bulletins and links for all matters that impact our work life as well as personal life and we are in constant touch with our agent.Anyone that wishes to join a career in construction, I would highly encourage it as it is a very dynamic and ever-expanding domain and there are various trades to choose from.

Gheoghe stan, civil supervisor

I started with DSG as a traffic Marshall and now work in the office as an administrator. I definitely would recommend the construction industry to women because you can learn something new, and people are very helpful and kind. I feel very comfortable and I love my job. Danny Sullivan helped me a lot! Thanks to them I joined WIC which has given me a lot of confidence.

Maria spiridon, office administrator

I started with Danny Sullivan Group in 2015 as a General Operative. I have received fantastic training including Traffic Marshall Training and SSSTS. I am now a Traffic Marshall and Multi-skilled Operative and have joined the Women In Construction meetings with FLO.

Danny Sullivan Group is an easy company to work for, with no problems in getting issues sorted. You always know where you stand, and they are always willing to help with my needs. DSG really looks after me and are helping me progress within the construction sector.
